New functions

  • Includes data for HGV and hazardous goods planning (Navteq transport) for many countries in Europe
  • The Roads Editor use case has been completely redesigned and allows you to easily configure individual road restrictions and assign user-defined road segment attributes. The truck attributes for the selected road segment are clearly displayed in a list. Filter and sort functions guarantee a clear overview of the edited road segments.
  • "Add route marker point": This new function makes it even easier to plan a route. The route marker point is not a stop-off point or destination: the route simply passes through a specified radius around the marker point. Example: A vehicle needs to travel from Paris to Amsterdam via Brussels. If you right-click on the map close to Brussels and add a route marker point, map&guide professional 2008 calculates a route via the nearby motorway without using the point as a stop-off point or listing it as a point en route.
  • Vehicle classes add-on module: Besides the default truck restrictions provided, it also possible to use the Roads Editor use case to create user-defined restrictions and attributes for vehicle class definitions for individual road segments. This means routes can be calculated which are specifically customised for every vehicle class or every vehicle.
  • Significantly improved alternative routing: The clear display of several alternative routes on one map image shows you, for example, whether a road segment has been closed to lorries and how much time is needed to take a detour around the segment.
  • The new function - "Show nearby ferries" - provides you with a clear list of ferry connections within a selected radius
  • Intuitive software usability thanks to the integration of our new maps engine and routing engine

  • Europe-wide route planning –  house-number precise in many countries. Sequence optimisation (for up to 200 stop-off points) and calculation of alternative routes taking direct distance, road distance and time slots into consideration.
  • Calculate the fastest, shortest or most cost-efficient route by considering different parameters (vehicle-specific properties, speed profiles, time slots, appointments, stay times, driving times and rest periods).
